Purpose & Objectives
The BLM Wild Horse and Burro (WH&B) Program Office requires these specialized chutes. The objective is to collect business input on solutions and approaches to acquire top-quality chutes. Responses will be used for market survey analysis to determine interested parties, industry standards, warranties, and whether the acquisition will be conducted under full and open competition or a total small business set-aside.
Scope of Interest
The BLM is seeking information on stationary hydraulic squeeze tilt chutes. Draft specifications are attached, detailing requirements such as construction with new ASTM-A36 steel, a 120-volt hydraulic system, specific cylinder and hose standards, 1.5 horsepower motor, 2-inch thick closed-cell padding, spring-loaded latches, grease fittings on hinges, Desert Sand (Tan) painting, and welding according to AWS D1.1-96. The contractor would be responsible for all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals for construction and delivery of approximately 4-6 chutes.
