Scope of Potential Requirement
MARAD is seeking firms with demonstrated experience in conducting marine vessel inspections, technical evaluations, condition and valuation surveys, and appraisals for commercial vessels and maritime assets. Anticipated services include, but are not limited to:
- Vessel condition surveys
- Vessel valuation and appraisal reports
- Technical inspections and assessments
- Review of vessel maintenance and operational records
- Risk and collateral analysis for maritime lending purposes
- Shipyard and construction progress inspections
- Compliance reviews related to marine financing programs
- Preparation of written technical findings and recommendations
- Support for Federal credit underwriting and loan monitoring activities
The Government is particularly interested in small businesses with expertise in commercial vessels, ship financing, marine engineering, vessel operations, and maritime asset valuation.
