Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This document is a Purchase Description for a Torque Calibration System Upgrade (TCSP). The TCSP is a transducer-based system used by Air Force Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories (PMELs) as a standard for calibrating torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools. The system will include torque transducers ranging from 250 to 2000 lbf-ft and a digital indicator.

• One each of the following items for specified PMELs:

  • Snap-on TTC610
  • Snap-on TTC12
  • Snap-on TTC13
  • Snap-on TTC14

• Transducers must have a four-hole bolt pattern and be compatible with the CDI TFC2000-0-03 Torque Calibration System.

• The system must achieve an accuracy of +/- 0.5% of reading or better over the specified range.

• Each transducer requires a connecting cable for the indicator.

• TCSP kits must be identified with a manufacturer, model/part number, and serial number. An Air Force unique model/part number (e.g., XXXXX-AF) is required.

• A standard 2-year warranty is required for each transducer and indicator.

• Inspection and acceptance will occur at destination.

• Items will be tested using equipment with parameters equal to or better than those required to meet performance specifications.

• Test equipment must have first echelon certification traceable to NIST or an AFMETCAL-approved equivalent.

• Contractor is responsible for all inspections and quality checks at the point of manufacture.
