Quick Summary

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Walla Walla District, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought notice for a Firm Fixed-Price construction contract for levee rehabilitation near Naches and Yakima, Washington. This project involves repairing the Town of Naches Segment 7 and Yakima Authorized Left Bank Levee. Responses are due by April 6, 2026.

Scope of Work

This project entails the rehabilitation of two distinct levee segments:

  • Naches Segment 7 Levee: Located on the left bank of the Naches River, this segment requires repair of approximately 500 feet of erosion and loss of bank armoring, along with regrading, stabilization, and armoring. The damage resulted from a December 2025 flood event, and the levee protects residential homes, farms, and public infrastructure.
  • Yakima Authorized Left Bank Levee: Situated on the left bank of the Yakima River, this segment has experienced erosion of a constructed berm at two locations (100 lf and 200 lf). The work involves regrading, stabilization, and armoring of the damaged areas. This levee protects businesses, commercial properties, residential homes, and public infrastructure.

Both repairs are critical to be completed before the spring flood season.
