Sources Sought / Market Research

This document is a Sources Sought Synopsis (SSS) issued by the U.S. Air Force (423rd SCMS) to conduct market research for potential "Spares Procurement" of a specific item (NSN: 1680-01-141-6125RK, Part Number: NF53300-01A). The government is seeking to identify potential sources and determine if the requirement can be competitively procured or set aside for small businesses. This is NOT a solicitation or a Request for Proposal (RFP), and no contract will be awarded based on this market research. No funds are available for this information solicitation.

• The requirement is for the new manufacture of the item identified by NSN 1680-01-141-6125RK, Part Number NF53300-01A.

• Estimated quantity: 44EA.

• Potential scope includes procurement/manufacture, inspection, testing, preservation/packaging, shipping, supply chain management, logistics planning, forecasting, long-lead time parts procurement, and addressing diminishing manufacturing sources.

• This is a new spares buy and does not have a repair requirement.

• Contract type, period of performance, and estimated value are to be determined.

• Interested sources must select "ADD ME TO INTERESTED VENDORS" to participate.

• This is not a request for proposal; requests for a solicitation will not receive a response.

• The government is interested in all potential sources, including Large Businesses, Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, 8(a)s, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, Hubzone Businesses, and Women-Owned Small Businesses.

• The government is interested in identifying potential sources and will consider breaking the requirement out by airframe.

• The government is interested in all business sizes and types for this market research.

• Potential sources must be qualified and complete a Source Approval Request (SAR) package as specified in the Qualification Requirements (QR) for this item.

• QRs and Engineering Data List (EDL), if applicable, are attached.

• Government-provided data is annotated on the EDL. If no EDL is provided, sources must independently acquire necessary technical data.
