Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for the comprehensive maintenance, inspection, testing, and calibration of the Electrical Power Distribution Systems and all their components. Key requirements include:

• Performing triannual testing and maintenance.
• Immediate reporting of critical or catastrophic deficiencies.
• Conducting infra-red scanning to detect hot spots.
• Ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling.

Key Requirements & Deliverables

• Personnel: NETA Certified Technicians with a minimum of five years of continuous experience in electrical power distribution systems maintenance, and OSHA-approved 10-hour construction safety training.
• Compliance: Adherence to safety training requirements (OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910 Subpart S, NFPA 70E) and access to the latest versions of relevant electrical codes and standards (NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, 110, OSHA 1910, NETA specifications).
• Equipment: Provision of all necessary tools, equipment, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Documentation: Submission of a proposed schedule with the bid, a written work plan prior to work commencement, and a complete written report of all work performed (including company/contractor details, VA contract number, date/time, licenses, equipment details, test data, remarks, and recommended corrective actions). Digital and hard copies of reports are required.
• Safety: Compliance with all VA safety and health policies.
