Purpose

Scope of Work (Based on Draft Section C)
The future contractor will be responsible for administering the TRICARE Pharmacy Benefits Program, encompassing:
- Efficient and accurate claims processing from various sources (retail network pharmacies, TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy (TMOP), Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs), VA pharmacies, Indian Health Services (IHS) pharmacies, and beneficiary reimbursements).
- Administering a comprehensive retail pharmacy network across the U.S. and its territories.
- Operating the TRICARE Mail Order Pharmacy (TMOP), including dispensing and delivery.
- Performing clinical reviews and providing beneficiary and pharmacy support services.
- Managing systems and interfaces such as the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), Pharmacy Data Warehouse (PDW), and Federal EHR.
- Handling specialty agents, vaccines, and compound prescriptions.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and DoD benefit design rules.
- Adhering to strict data security, privacy (HIPAA), and quality management standards.
