Day One: Program Overview & Acquisition Strategy
Day One will feature remarks from the Under Secretary for Management and OBO Director, followed by detailed briefings:
- OBO Program & Projects: Overview of program needs, upcoming projects, locations, types of contractors, and how contracts are managed in the field.
- Bureau of Global Acquisitions (GA): Insights into OBO's acquisition strategy, procurement expectations, key bidding process aspects, and contractor qualification requirements.
- Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS): Guidance on security clearances for firms, including domestic and overseas worker clearances, timelines, challenges, and preparation steps.
- Q&A Session: Questions must be submitted during registration.
Day Two: Capabilities Conversations
Day Two offers potential partners a unique opportunity for 20-minute virtual Capabilities Conversations with subject-matter experts from OBO and GA. Separate meetings will be hosted by DS to address firm-specific clearance questions. Due to limited capacity, firms may register for only one Capabilities Conversation, and duplicate registrations will be canceled.
