Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, materials, tools, and incidental items necessary to install a new 4-strand barbed wire fence. Key requirements include:
- Installation of approximately 3,540 linear feet of 4-strand barbed wire fence.
- Following surveyed Refuge boundary lines, constructing the fence within 12 inches of the boundary.
- Clearing the fence path with minimal soil disturbance; dozers are generally prohibited.
- Replacing existing gates with new high-quality ranch-type metal gates (approx. 8' wide).
- Adhering to specific performance standards for fence posts (T-posts at 15'-17' intervals), wire tension, wire spacing (bottom wire 18" above ground, subsequent wires at 12" intervals, top wire at 54"), H-braces, and corner brace structures.
