This is a Sources Sought Announcement to gather information on contractors capable of providing continuing education to physical therapists serving geriatric patients at the VA Southern Nevada Health Care System (VASNHCS). No solicitation is currently available, and this announcement is for planning purposes only.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System (VASNHS) requires training for its Physical Therapy Staff on the management of older adults in rehabilitation to enhance their skills in working with the growing geriatric Veteran population.

• Provide no less than 16 hours of geriatric-focused training to 30 interested and eligible Physical Therapists.

• Training to be conducted face-to-face, with all participants present simultaneously.

• Covers physiological processes of aging, geriatric syndromes (frailty, sarcopenia), examination techniques, functional exercises for older adults (including those with multi-morbidities), exercise program design (progressions/regressions), evidence-based fall prevention, falls landing training, and strategies to manage fear in older adults.

• Course, materials, and instructors must meet or exceed the Nevada Board of Physical Therapy (NVBOPT) standards.

• Upon completion, Physical Therapists will receive CEU credits through NVBOPT and be able to apply updated research and skills.

• Period of Performance: 7/15/2026 - 09/30/2026.

• Location: VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 6900 North Pecos Road, Education Center, Quad 1H122–1H125, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89086.

• Training dates and times are dependent on Government and contractor availability.
