Scope of Work

The requirement is to provide no less than 16 hours of geriatric-focused training to approximately 30 Physical Therapists. Training must be conducted face-to-face and cover: physiological processes of aging, geriatric syndromes (frailty, sarcopenia), examination techniques, functional exercises for older adults (including those with multi-morbidities), exercise program design, evidence-based fall prevention, falls landing training, and strategies to manage fear in older adults. The course, materials, and instructors must meet or exceed the Nevada Board of Physical Therapy (NVBOPT) standards for continuing competency.

Submission Requirements

Interested contractors must respond via email to Gary.Christensen@va.gov by the deadline. Responses must include:

  • Company's Socioeconomic Status (e.g., small business, SDVOSB, VOSB), with SBA registration confirmation if applicable.
  • Company legal name and Unique Entity ID (SAM) number.
  • Primary point of contact (name, phone, email).
  • A Capabilities Statement.
  • Description of experience providing similar continuing education for physical therapists.
  • Proof that the course, materials, and instructors meet or exceed NVBOPT standards, including course curriculum, tentative schedule/duration, and available onsite training dates.
  • List of similar Government and Commercial projects (include contract numbers for federal contracts).
  • Responses to questions regarding Limitations on Subcontracting (FAR 52.219-14 and 52.219-27).
  • A price estimate for the base period (07/15/2026 - 09/30/2026).
