Sole Source Justification
This action is being awarded on a sole-source basis to Textron Aviation under the authority of Title 10, U.S.C. 3204 (a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." Textron is identified as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the UC-12W aircraft, possessing the unique knowledge, experience, and technical data required to meet the Government's needs.
Action for Interested Parties
This notice is an intent to award sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government does not intend to fund the development or qualification of other sources. However, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Any capability statements received by the due date may be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
