Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, transportation, equipment, and materials for mortuary services, strictly complying with UK laws. Key services include:
- Collection and Transportation: From any UK mainland location to RAF Mildenhall or RAF Lakenheath, including minimum preparations and legal paperwork.
- Tiered Pricing: Transportation services will be priced based on distance: within 30 miles, 30-150 miles, and outside 150 miles.
- Interim Holding: Capability to transport remains to the contractor's licensed facility for secure, refrigerated (non-frozen) storage for up to 30 days, followed by onward transportation to RAF Mildenhall or RAF Lakenheath.
- Airport Transport: Transportation of remains from the contractor facility or RAF Mildenhall to Heathrow, Stansted, or Gatwick airports for international onward transportation.
- Response Times: Action plan for transport within 4 hours of notification, initiating movement within 24 hours.
- Documentation: Providing required documentation for off-island transport.
Contract Details
- Type: Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA).
- BPA Ceiling: $350,000.00 (maximum cumulative for the life of the BPA).
- Ordering Period: Five (5) years, from May 31, 2026, to May 30, 2031.
- Call Order Limits: Minimum of £25,000.00; Maximum of $350,000.00; Individual call order value limit of $40,000.00.
