Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure one (1) new Up Cut Saw to replace an outdated machine that is maintenance intensive and lacks necessary safety equipment required to meet OSHA standards.

• The contractor shall provide all labor and material to construct, deliver, and place into operation one new up cut saw.

• All equipment furnished must be new from the manufacturer's most current production.

• The saw must comply with all OSHA, federal, state, and local codes and regulations.

• Accessories not specifically mentioned but necessary for complete systems ready for use must be included.

• Transportation and shipping of the purchased saw are the contractor's responsibility.

• The machine must be equivalent to a Vista Machines M24 24' MITER Up Cut Saw.

• Salient Characteristics:

  • 208 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle electrical operation
  • 24" diameter carbide tipped blade
  • 10hp TEFC arbor drive motor
  • 24VDC control for pushbutton operation via PLC
  • Manual angle set
  • Capable of cuts up to 75 degrees from left or right side of 0 degrees
  • Banded 3 V-Belt Drive
  • Saw access door with safety switch
  • Automatic clamping of material before cutting
  • Right side feed
  • In-feed table: 180” (15ft) long X 12” wide galvanized roller conveyor with 3” steel high fence rail (rollers on 6” center), includes 1 Heavy Duty support leg and machine mounting brackets.
  • Out-feed table: 216" (18ft) long X 20" wide with programmable Tiger Stop (16ft usable working space), made from solid 7 gauge steel with 3” fence rail, including support leg and machine mounting brackets.
  • Programmable 16ft working length material positioning system (TIGER STOP).
  • Gang Stop to extend material positioning system range 9" – 24".
  • Safety Interlock Kit for material positioning system.
  • Air Supply prep package with filter, regulator, and shut off valve.
  • 2 Button activation required.

• Exterior color: Manufacturer's standard.

• Delivery Location: DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, 540 First St. S.E., Corpus Christi, TX 78419.

• Contractor shall coordinate delivery with the POC listed.

• Warranty: Manufacturer's standard warranty, but not less than one year parts and labor.

• Manuals & Training: Contractor shall provide one (1) complete set of operator, parts, and service manuals with delivery. Provide one (1) 8-hour training session on safe operation and preventative maintenance procedures at the receiving location on the day of delivery and installation.

• Installation: Connections for electrical and ventilation are in place; no additional work is required for these systems. The saw will be installed in locations identified in Section 1.

• Acceptance: Final acceptance will be performed by personnel at the receiving location.

Solicitation / RFP / RFQ

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12 for one (1) Up Cut Saw for DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, TX. This announcement is the only solicitation; no separate written solicitation will be issued. The government intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price purchase order.

• One (1) Up Cut Saw with the following salient characteristics:

  • 208 volt, 3 phase, 60 cycle electrical operation
  • 24" diameter carbide tipped blade
  • 10hp TEFC arbor drive motor
  • 24VDC control for pushbutton operation via PLC
  • Manual angle set

• Standard Warranty to be included.

• Material must be shipped on serviceable, winged pallets in accordance with MD00100452, Revision C, dated 09/2016.

• Contract Type: Firm-Fixed Price purchase order.

• Delivery Schedule: Requested delivery lead time is 30 days After Receipt of Order.

• Delivery Destination: DLA DISTRIBUTION CORPUS CHRISTI, BOSS REC OFFICE, 540 FIRST STREET SE BLDG 1846, CORPUS CHRISTI TX 78419-5255, US.

• FOB: Destination.

• Proposal or quote submission instructions: Quotes must be received electronically via email to Deborah.L.Johnson@dla.mil by 10:00 AM EST on June 15, 2026.

• Evaluation criteria: The government intends to award to the acceptable quoter with the lowest evaluated price. Technical Capability and Past Performance will be evaluated on an acceptable or unacceptable basis.

• Key deadlines or milestones:

  • Closing date and time for questions: June 11, 2026, 12:00 PM EST.
  • Closing date and time for quotes: June 15, 2026, 10:00 AM EST.

• Quote acceptance period: Quoters agree to hold prices firm for 60 calendar days from the quote receipt date.

• This acquisition is a 100% Small Business set-aside.
