Quick Summary
The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), through its Indian Education Acquisition Office, is soliciting proposals for an UPDATED SERVER/RECORDER REPLACEMENT. This opportunity seeks to procure a modern Network Video Recorder (NVR)/Video Management System (VMS) platform to replace an outdated security camera server. This acquisition is 100% set aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE). Proposals are due by Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. MDT.
Scope of Work
This solicitation (RFQ) requires the replacement of an outdated security camera server with a modern NVR/VMS platform. Key requirements include ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime during transition. The system must support up to 16 devices with Power over Ethernet (PoE) and feature four surveillance-grade hard drives with various RAID levels. The recorder must be compatible with AXIS Companion and AXIS Camera Station video management software and mobile app. The scope encompasses a pre-installation assessment (inventory audit, network check, data backup), comprehensive installation and configuration (hardware setup, system configuration, camera migration), and thorough testing and integration (verification, remote access, alerting). Final deliverables include a project closeout document with serial numbers, network diagrams, and administrative credentials. User training on video search, playback, and export is also required. Technical clarifications indicate cameras operate on a local network without internet access, and an IT technician will be available for support. The existing Dell PowerEdge R415 may not be compatible, and the government will use an AXIS server.
