Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To upgrade the security systems in Joshua Tree National Park office spaces, as the current systems are outdated and beyond their service life, hindering modern security monitoring.

This contract is for the supply and installation of new security equipment only. The contractor will plan and execute the upgrading of all security systems throughout Joshua Tree National Park's office spaces. This includes:

• System Design: Develop a comprehensive system design including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Emergency Notification Systems, ensuring compatibility with existing fire alarm systems, and identical keypads/equipment across all buildings. Design the system architecture, including network infrastructure, hardware, and software components.
• Security Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and specifically Federal Protective Service (FPS), NISPOM, and HSPD-12 standards.
• System Installation: Includes site preparation (cabling, power, network infrastructure), hardware installation (controllers, keypads, intrusion sensors, emergency notification devices), and system integration for seamless operation.
• System Testing and Commissioning: Conduct functional, integration, and performance testing, followed by system commissioning and training for security personnel.
• Ongoing Maintenance and Support: Provide a minimum of one year warranty on all newly installed components.

Specific Building Upgrades:

• North Entry Gate: Replace control panel and keypad, integrate new motion sensors, door/window contacts, panic buttons, transition to cellular communication, and provide new cabling/hardware. Includes professional installation and removal of old equipment.
