Scope of Work
The required services include:
- High Seachest Strainer Valve Replacement: Providing equipment and services to replace one or both 30” Seawater Valves (SW-V-1 and/or SW-V-2). This involves coordination with ship's force and dive operators, removal of existing valves, installation of ship-provided replacements, ensuring proper alignment, and conducting operational tests to confirm watertightness.
- HTFW Pump No. 3 Coupling Machining: Machining and restoring the coupling for the High Temperature Freshwater Cooling (HTFW) Pump No. 3 to ensure proper fit with existing pump and motor shafts. This includes removing the old coupling, re-using the flexible metal part, machining new components, treating with Rust-Ban #394, and packing with grease. Operational testing coordination is required.
- LO Cooler Plate Inspection and Re-gasketing: Cleaning and re-gasketing two specific plate heat exchangers (MDG LO Cooler No. 1 and No. 3). This involves disassembly, inspection (including NDT), replacement of all gaskets and seals, refurbishment of plate packs at an OEM-authorized facility, reassembly, and hydrostatic/operational testing.
