This project involves construction services for approximately 48,000 square feet of finished office workspace and lobby space across two locations: the Wallace F. Bennett Federal Building and the Orrin G. Hatch United States Courthouse. The majority, about 30,000 square feet, will be for the new U.S. Passport Office, with the remainder for six relocating agencies and the Bennett Lobby remodel.
Key activities include:
- Hazardous materials abatement and selective interior demolition.
- New construction of waiting areas, application windows, offices, training rooms, conference rooms, hoteling cubicles, break rooms, server rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, printing rooms, storage, security desks, security screening, and a Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, telecommunications, audio-visual systems, security, equipment, tenant moves, and furniture installation.
- Work will occur in occupied facilities, requiring coordination and minimizing disruption.
- Adherence to GSA PBS Core Buildings Standards and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
