The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Sacramento District (SPK) anticipates a design-bid-build (DBB) construction services requirement to conduct erosion control and levee strengthening protections along the North and South (NS) banks of the Lower American River (LAR) in Sacramento, California (CA). This solicitation is for work at two separate sites (North and South) with the expectation of two (2) awards. The Government intends to award a contract(s) to the bidder(s), providing the overall lowest price to the Government.
A current court injunction regarding the removal of trees and replanting of elderberries along the Lower American River has delayed the release of this solicitation.
In preparation of the solicitation for the construction work and subsequent two (2) awards for this work, USACE is posting this special notice with draft instructions, specifications and plans to allow industry to provide feedback and advanced preparation time for bids.
The attached draft instructions, specifications and plans may not be the same that are posted with the solicitation. Refer to the attached Instructions to Bidders for information on how to post your questions and feedback. The Government may not respond to all inquiries at this time but will take the feedback into consideration when posting the solicitation.
