Scope of Work
This requirement covers extensive dry dock services for the 1977-built USACE Survey Vessel RANDY S. CUMMINGS. Key tasks include:
- Hull Services: Pressure washing (max 2,500 PSI), sonic survey, cleaning, antifouling paint, zinc anode renewal, inspection/replacement of through-hull valves, shaft/strut bearing inspection, rudder/stuffing box inspection, and propeller services. Specific coating systems like Intershield 300V epoxy and Interspeed 5640 are recommended.
- Deck & Exterior: Above waterline hull blasting & lettering, removal of crane/capstans, aft helm station repair, new cargo davit (folding/stowable, 1000lb max, electronic rotation), cabin locks, bow boarding modification, new transducer installation, and exterior cabin painting.
- Mechanical & Electrical: Main engine, generator, and transmission maintenance; steering system overhaul with added redundancy; shaft alignment and vibration analysis; engine room interior lighting and bilge pump replacement (5 pumps, non-Rule float switches); tank monitoring systems; fuel tank cleaning; life raft/ring installation; MOB ladder; navigation lights; window de-frosting system upgrade; electrical panel construction; isolation transformer replacement; 24-volt system troubleshooting; shore power plug relocation; and main AC panel rebuild.
