Statement of Work (SOW)

To procure and install new systems furniture for the OLEA annex on the 5th floor of Fairchild Hall to accommodate new staff positions.

• Supply and installation of Teknion systems furniture, to be purchased on a GSA contract.

• Specific tasks include:

  • Replacing demising panel tops with 30H glass panels and adding 30"H white board panels.
  • Removing all sliding doors.
  • Adding Station 7 to match existing stations, using a panel from existing station 6. This station requires a desktop module with 3 electrical receptacles and 2 USB ports (A and C size).
  • Adding Stations 8 and 9 to match existing panels, including 2 clamp-on desktop modules (each with 3 electrical receptacles and 2 USB charging ports, sizes A and C) and one shared 30 x 60H wardrobe.
  • Installing a demountable wall (approx. 113" H x 80W) with a sliding door to close off 2 areas, with acoustic properties.

• Furniture must adhere to USAFA standards (panel wrapped stations or base supported overhead storage; no wall strips).

• Panels/furniture running along window walls shall be no higher than 36" and must not block thermostats or access panels.

• Interlock (anti-tip) mechanism for drawers is required.

• Overhead storage must have doors covering the entire front opening.

• Task lights and tack boards below overhead storage units are required unless noted otherwise.

• All fabrics to be quoted in mid-grade.

• Grommets to be included in work surfaces.

• Furnishings workstations shall be keyed alike and different from other workstations.

• Power poles required are 6 inches by 3 inches by height, accommodating power and 16 cat 6 comm cables.

• All colors and finishes require submission to the Base Interior Designer for approval.

• Contractor must provide drawings illustrating furniture layout (plan view and 3D elevation) for each area in the bid.

• Bidders must provide photos and cut sheet information of all furnishings quoted.

• The winning contractor must provide a compilation of drawings, a detailed list of surfaces requiring finish selection, and finish samples.

• Contractor personnel require USAFA passes/badges prior to starting on-site work.

• Work area confined to applicable areas shown in Appendix 1.

• Coordinate work schedules with the USAFA Project Manager at least two (2) weeks in advance.

• COMM and ITNSS disconnect/connection requirements will be provided by the Government.

• All deviations from specifications must be noted as exceptions in the quote package.

• All items in the quote must be on a GSA contract.

• Parts being replaced (top panels in stations 1-6 and 6 sliding doors) are to be removed.

• Contractor is responsible for all site measurements to ensure furniture fits per the floor plan. Site visits for measurements are to occur after award and before ordering.

• Contractor is responsible for any clean-up associated with delivery and damages to the building, floors, or walls. Any incurred damage must be repaired at the contractor's cost.
