Quick Summary
The United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) is seeking sources for the renovation and installation of new systems and modular furniture for the Office of Labor and Economics Analysis (OLEA) Annex, located in Fairchild Hall at the USAF Academy, CO. This Sources Sought notice is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Responses are due by February 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM EST.
Purpose and Scope
The acquisition aims to purchase and install new systems and modular furniture for the OLEA office, as the existing furniture is no longer appropriate for its current function and to accommodate new staff positions. The scope includes the supply and installation of Teknion systems furniture, which must be purchased via a GSA contract. Key tasks involve:
- Replacing demising panel tops with 30"H glass panels and adding 30"H whiteboard panels.
- Removing all sliding doors.
- Adding new workstations (Stations 7, 8, and 9) to match existing configurations, including desktop modules with electrical receptacles and USB ports (Type A and C).
- Installing a demountable acoustic wall (approx. 113" H x 80W) with a sliding door to close off two areas.
- Ensuring furniture adheres to USAFA standards, such as panel-wrapped stations, base-supported overhead storage, and specific height restrictions (no higher than 36") for panels along window walls to avoid blocking thermostats or access panels.
- Requiring features like interlock mechanisms for drawers, overhead storage with full doors, task lights, tack boards, mid-grade fabrics, grommets in work surfaces, and keyed-alike workstations.
- Providing power poles (6"x3") capable of accommodating power and 16 Cat 6 communication cables.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the USAF Academy, CO 80840, specifically within the OLEA Annex on the 5th floor of Fairchild Hall, as detailed in Appendix 1.
