USCG Sector New York Galley Locker Room

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This project involves repairs and renovations to the male and female staff locker rooms at U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York to address interior and exterior deficiencies, improve functionality, and restore aesthetic quality.

• Floor Tile Replacement: Remove and replace approximately 170 sq.ft. of floor tiles in each locker room with industrial linoleum tiles (2.5 mm or greater thickness). Includes floor preparation and waterproofing.

• Toilet and Urinal Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing fixtures (2 toilets, 2 urinals in male; 3 toilets in female). Install new commercial fixtures. All plumbing by a licensed plumber, meeting current codes.

• Bathroom Stall Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing stalls (2 stalls, 1 urinal divider in male; 3 stalls in female). Install new high-density polyethylene (HDPE) stalls.

• Bathroom Sinks and Counter Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing sinks and vanities (2 single sinks in male; 3 single sinks in female). Install new industrial solid surface counters with 2 sinks each.

• Wall Painting and Patching: Patch damaged drywall sections and paint all walls, trims, and doors in both locker rooms. Paint colors to be determined by the COR.

• Locker Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing lockers (8 in male, 8 in female). Install 10 new lockers (approx. 72”H x 15”W x 24”D) in each locker room, ensuring they are level, stable, and affixed.

• Bench Installation: Install benches in each locker room (male: approx. 17”H x 72”W x 10”D; female: approx. 17”H x 54”W x 10”D) with hardwood laminate surfaces and stainless steel legs, securely anchored.

• Baseboard Replacement: Remove and dispose of existing baseboards (approx. 50 ft each). Install new 4” rubber baseboard with a cove base.

• Period: All work must be completed within thirty (30) days of contract award.

• Hours: Work performed Monday-Friday, 0700-1530, unless approved otherwise by the COR with 48 hours advance notice.

• Location: U.S. Coast Guard Sector New York, 216 Coast Guard Drive, Staten Island, NY 10305.

• Submittals: Contractor must submit specifications for tile, fixtures, stalls, paint, lockers, and benches for COR review and approval prior to ordering materials.

• Plumbing: All plumbing work must be performed by a licensed plumber and meet current codes.

• Site Visit: Highly encouraged on May 11th at 9:30 am.

• RFIs: Questions must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer (KO) prior to bid submission and during construction.

• Identification: All contractor employees must carry a REAL ID at all times on Sector New York property.

• Contractor Responsibilities: Verify dimensions, coordinate with COR, protect existing finishes, remove debris daily, comply with safety regulations and building codes.
