Scope of Work
The contractor will provide all materials and labor for manufacturing and installing exhaust insulation blankets and pads for specific systems aboard the USCGC 270' Campbell. This includes:
- Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust systems: Insulation for a portion of two MDE exhaust systems.
- Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust systems: Insulation for two SSDG exhaust systems.
- Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Exhaust system: Insulation for one EDG exhaust system.
Insulation must be installed after the respective exhaust piping, silencers, and flexible joints are in place, adhering to MIL-STD-769J or an equal industry standard. The external surface temperature of the exhaust piping must not exceed 130°F, with operating temperatures ranging from 32°F to 800°F. Detailed drawings, including materials lists and specifications for silencers (8" and 12" flange, 321 SS), are provided. A mandatory site survey is required prior to the start of work. Access to some drawings may be Export-Controlled, requiring Joint Certification Program (JCP) registration.
