Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

• Provide all materials and labor for insulating:

  • A portion of 2 Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Exhaust systems.
  • 2 Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) Exhaust systems.
  • 1 Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Exhaust system.

• Insulation blankets and pads are required after the installation of the respective exhaust piping, silencers, and flexible joints.

• Materials can be equal to specified drawings (901-WMEC-259-002, 905-WMEC-342-003, and Miratech Silencer attachment drawings).

• All exhaust piping, mufflers, and flexible joints must be insulated per MIL-STD-769J or an equal industry standard.

• Insulation must have proper thickness for the system's temperature ratings.

• External surface temperature of exhaust piping shall not exceed 130°F.

• Operating exhaust gas temperatures range from 32°F to 800°F.

• Insulation blankets shall be fabricated and installed using proper lagging anchors and attachments, secured with steel lacing.

• Tentative Start Date for Ship Check: July 20, 2026, through July 24, 2026.
