Notice of Intent to Sole Source

Statement of Work (SOW)

To provide labor and materials for the installation of a complete Marioff Hi-Fog MAU-150 Water Mist Fire Suppression System in the engine room of the USCGC ANVIL, including provisions for potable water supply.

• System Installation: Install the Marioff Hi-fog MAU-150 Water Mist Fire Suppression System.

• Removal of Existing System: Remove the existing fixed fire-fighting CO₂ system in the Fidley.

• Piping: Install new potable water supply piping and water mist distribution piping with spray heads.

• Structural Modifications: Fabricate and install structural foundations, modify deck plates and boundary angles, and create temporary access openings as needed.

• Electrical Work: Install a new Water Mist System Control Panel and associated wiring.

• Testing & Certification: Perform pipe flushing, hydrostatic testing, and operational testing. A qualified Marioff Representative must certify the final installation.

• Crew Training: Provide onboard training for the ship's personnel on system operation, recharging, and maintenance.

• All work must comply with referenced Coast Guard Drawings and Standard Specifications (SFLC Std Spec).

• Welding must adhere to SFLC Std Spec 0740.

• Electrical work must comply with SFLC Std Spec 3042, SFLC Std Spec 3041, and MIL-STD 2003A.

• Cables must be zero Halogen and low smoke type.

• Pipe cleanliness and dryness are required after flushing.

• Hydrostatic testing must show no leakage or permanent deformation.

• Period of Performance: Not to exceed 120 calendar days from the date of award.

• Place of Performance: USCGC ANVIL home port, 196 Tradd St., Charleston, SC 29401.

• Hours of Operation: Generally 0730-1600 EST, Monday-Friday, with potential for work outside normal hours as negotiated.

• Government-Furnished Property (GFP): One Water Mist Fire Suppression System (EU2150 – MAU150) is provided.

• Contractor-Furnished Property: Contractor shall furnish all other necessary materials, equipment, and services.

• Technical Representative: Contractor shall provide an OEM authorized/licensed Tech Rep for testing, certification, and consultation.

• Protective Measures: Contractor must protect non-affected vessel components and spaces and restore cleanliness post-work.

• Reporting: Daily progress meetings and electronic reports are required. A trip report is required upon project completion.
