CGC HARRY CLAIBORNE MPCMS Technical Support
CGC HARRY CLAIBORNE MPCMS (Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring
System) is not working as intended and cutter technicians have exhausted efforts
with support over the phone with tech. Cutter CO and technicians have requested
on-site technical support. MPCMS is relied upon by WLB-225 and WLM-175
assets for controlling & monitoring various mechanical systems for cutter
propulsion during transiting and while working on navigation aids. Without a
properly functioning MPCMS system the cutter is unable to perform required
operational missions. The technician will be on-site to observe current MPCMS
operation and make any software or physical hardware changes/updates required
to bring the system back to SAT operation.
1.1 OBJECTIVE
The goal is to supply CGC HARRY CLAIBORNE with OEM technical support from tech
to regain full MPCMS system functionalility, allowing unit to perform operational
requirements for aids to navigation and various other Heartland District operatoins.

MPCMS (Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring System)
MPCMS system provides cutter propulsion control and
monitoring. The MPCMS system receives multiple sensor
inputs allowing engineers to quickly make functional
adjustments to the operation of the machinery plant for
control of main diesel engines, shaft speed, and bow/stern
thrusters to keep the cutter safely moving during mission
evolutions.
