Evaluation
The Government will consider alternative space if it is economically advantageous, taking into account factors such as the availability of suitable space, relocation costs (physical move, tenant improvements, telecommunications, agency downtime), and compliance with fire safety, accessibility (ABAAS), seismic, and sustainability standards. A fully serviced lease is required, and offered space must not be in the 1-percent-annual change flood plain. Entities must also familiarize themselves with Section 889 of the FY19 NDAA.
Submission Requirements
Expressions of Interest must include: building name/address, location of space, layout drawings/pictures (with dimensions), RSF/ABOA, date of availability, owner authorization letter (if not owner), parking details, photos, condition of building systems, and confirmation of compliance with ABAAS, Seismic, Fire Protection, and NEPA standards (if applicable). Entities not currently registered in SAM.gov are advised to begin the process.
