USNS BURLINGTON MAIN PROPULSION DIESEL ENGINES MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS

This solicitation is for the maintenance and repair of Main Propulsion Diesel Engines (MPDEs) for the USNS Burlington. The government is procuring these services to ensure the operational readiness of the vessel.

• MPDEs Repairs: Services related to the repair of Main Propulsion Diesel Engines.

• 6K Maintenance: Maintenance services for the MPDEs.

• Exhaust Parts: Supply of parts for exhaust systems.

• Fuel Line Repair Parts: Supply of parts for fuel line repairs.

• Item Identification: Requirements in DFARS 252.211-7003, Item Identification and Valuation, are applicable for exhaust and fuel line repair parts. Contractors must provide DoD unique identification or a DoD recognized unique identification equivalent.

• Contract Type: Firm Fixed Price for all listed items.

• Period of Performance: September 1, 2026, to October 31, 2026, for all line items.

• Submission: Quotes must be submitted via email to the contracting officer and contract specialist listed in block 9 of the SF1449. Accepted formats are Adobe or Microsoft Office. No other submission method is acceptable.

• Evaluation: Quotes will be evaluated based on Technical (meeting all solicitation requirements, including delivery dates and part numbers) and Price (reasonableness).

• Sole Source Consideration: The government may issue a purchase order to Rolls-Royce Solutions America Inc. or MTU America Inc. if they provide a technically acceptable quote at a fair and reasonable price.

• Rejection of Non-Responsive Quotes: Quotes containing vendor's standard commercial terms and conditions may be considered a material defect and rejected.

• The acquisition is unrestricted.

• WAWF: The Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system will be used for payment requests and receiving reports. Specific instructions and routing data are provided.

• Duty-Free Entry: Material requires duty-free entry into the US. Contractors must initiate the entitlement request via PIEE.

• Ship and Base Access: Navy Installation Access (SECNAV 5512/1) and Ship Access Lists are required for pre-award ship visits and contract performance. Contact Nick Wheeler for details.
