Scope of Work
This opportunity encompasses a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks for the USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC-19). The work items are detailed in numerous Task Group Instructions (TGIs) under ATTACHMENT (I). Key areas of work include:
- Boiler Systems: Inspection, repair, overhaul, and testing of 1A/1B boilers, including safety valves, pilot panels, desuperheaters, smoke indicators, and forced draft blowers.
- Piping Systems: Hydrostatic and operational testing for auxiliary steam, fuel oil service, potable water, main feed water, main steam, low pressure air, circulating/cooling sea water, and gland seal & vent exhaust systems.
- Structural Repairs: Repair of structural members and preservation of bilge areas and foundations.
- System Installations/Upgrades: Installation of main engine lube oil temperature switches and engineering plant temperature monitoring systems.
- Component Replacement: Replacement of view port gaskets, lights, and check valves.
- Dry Lay-up: Dry lay-up procedures for 1A/B boilers.
Contract & Timeline
- Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) single award contract.
- Period of Performance: July 21, 2026, through June 20, 2028.
- Place of Performance: Primarily Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY) Naval Base, Japan, with some overhaul work potentially at the contractor's facility.
