  • Work Item# 635-11-001 (Insulation and Lagging): Clarification sought on discrepancies between materials specified for purchase/supply (Para. 3.5) and Government Furnished Materials (GFM) (Para. 5), particularly concerning plate type insulation, studs, and quantities. The government clarified that materials in Para. 3.5 are Customer Furnished Materials (CFM) required to complete the work and are distinct from materials in Para. 5.
  • Work Item# 588-30-001 (Helicopter Hangar Door Repair and Preserve): Clarification requested regarding two specific guide rail parts (Left Hand Guide Rail HD8021 and Right Hand Guide Rail HD8022) mentioned for removal and replacement, which were not listed in the CFM or GFM lists. The government's answer requests the offeror to provide their alternative for evaluation to determine if it meets the intent of the NAVSEA certification and to provide information about the facility where the work would be accomplished.
  • Work Item# 635-11-001 (Insulation and Lagging): Clarification sought regarding discrepancies in material quantities (plate type insulation and studs) between Paragraph 3.5 (CFM materials) and Paragraph 5 (GFM materials), and the total quantities on page 5 of the work certificate. The government's answer states that the materials in Paragraph 3.5 and 5 are different and do not overlap. The 100 studs in Para. 5 are distinct from the 15 stud caps in Para. 3.5. All materials listed in Para. 3.5 are CFM and are required to complete the work. Offerors are instructed to provide all materials listed in Para. 3.5 as listed.
