- Hot Potable Water Piping: Replacement of 3/8 Inch IPS HPW Piping, including associated insulation and lagging, located under the sink in Officer Stateroom No. 0114 (01-24-0-L). The initial piping was cracked and leaking.
- Cold Potable Water Piping: Replacement of existing cold potable water piping in AC Diesel GEN Room No.2, Upper Level A-318-E (2-26-4).
Key tasks include:
- Obtaining and analyzing samples of existing insulation and lagging for Asbestos-Containing Material.
- Performing chemical disinfection and bacteriological testing on the affected potable water piping.
- Conducting an operating pressure test to verify joint tightness (no leakage allowed).
- Accomplishing requirements for insulation, lagging, cleaning, and preservation of new and disturbed surfaces.
- All work must comply with referenced specifications, including "Standard Items (FY26)" and "General Specifications for Overhaul of Surface Ships (GSO)".
