Quick Summary

The Department of the Navy, through NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Yokosuka Site Sasebo, has issued a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for ship repair services aboard the USS PIONEER (MCM-9) at Commander, Fleet Activities SASEBO (CFAS) in Japan. This opportunity covers hydroblasting and mechanical cleaning of Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Main Seawater (MSW) piping, along with the pump-out of generated wastewater. The contract will be Firm Fixed Price, with a Period of Performance from July 14, 2026, to October 31, 2026. Quotations are due by June 18, 2026.

Scope of Work

The scope encompasses two primary areas:

  • Piping System Cleaning: Hydroblasting and mechanical cleaning of ASW and MSW piping (3/4 inch IPS through 8 inch IPS, CuNi) within the Main Machinery Room (MMR) and Refrigeration Machinery Room (REFR MCHRY RM) to achieve Level III cleanliness. This includes ancillary tasks such as removing/reinstalling floor plates, managing valves and hoses, and submitting condition reports.
  • Wastewater Management: Pumping out waste water generated by the hydroblasting operations from the Main Machinery Room and the MCM-9 USS PIONEER Pier Side. This requires adherence to specific environmental protocols, including contacting SRF-JRMC Detachment Sasebo ESH Division and providing spill kits.
