Quick Summary
The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI), on behalf of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) and U.S. Space Command (USSPACECOM), is hosting an Informational Industry Day for the new USSPACECOM Headquarters (HQ) Command and Control Facility (C2F). This event serves as market research for a large-scale, secure federal facility project on Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Interested parties must pre-register by April 10, 2026, 4:00 PM CT.
Project Overview & Scope
USSPACECOM requires a new, permanent warfighting HQ C2F on a 64-acre site at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL. The facility is designed to accommodate approximately 1800 personnel, with an estimated total square footage of 700,000 SF. Key components include a Visitor Control Center, vehicle inspection area, and secure data center. The HQ facility will feature stringent security, 24/7 operations, advanced IT systems, and compliance with standards such as ICD 705, High-Altitude Electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) hardening, and Radio Frequency (RF) Shielding. The government seeks highly experienced firms in technology-driven operations centers, resilient infrastructure, and integrated IT systems.
Acquisition Strategy
The Government intends to utilize a progressive design-build project delivery method, following Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) best practices. The acquisition for both the Owner's Representative and the design-build performance contractor will be executed using Other Transaction Authority (OTA) through the One Nation Innovation (ONI) Exchange GoColosseum Marketplace.
