Scope of Work
The contractor will be responsible for drilling, developing, and testing a new 4-inch diameter cased artesian water supply well capable of delivering 10 gallons per minute (GPM) of clean, fresh, potable water. Key requirements include:
- Drilling to an estimated depth (up to 800 feet with approval).
- Providing and installing a 4" PVC well casing, continuous slot PVC well screen, pitless adapter, and a 10 GPM submersible pump (minimum 1/2 HP).
- Installing electrical power wiring and components per National Electric Code (NEC) standards, including underground wiring with detectable warning tape.
- Developing the well to ensure clear water, testing for yield and drawdown, and disinfecting with a chlorine solution.
- Coordinating and paying for all required Well Construction permits from local and state authorities.
- Complying with State of Virginia Regulations, ANSI/AWWA standards, and OSHA requirements.
- Submitting daily logs, laboratory samples for water analysis, and a final water well completion report.
