Quick Summary
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), specifically the VA Roseburg Healthcare System (VARHCS), is soliciting quotations for Fixed Dental Prosthetics. This Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity requires a full-service dental laboratory to fabricate and deliver high-quality fixed prosthetics to VARHCS dental clinics in Roseburg and Eugene, Oregon. An amendment (0001) was issued on April 21, 2026, addressing vendor questions and updating the Individual Item Schedule (IIS). Quotations are due by April 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT.
Scope of Work
The selected contractor will be responsible for fabricating high-quality fixed dental prosthetics according to prescription specifications, including transportation and delivery services to and from the Roseburg and Eugene clinics. This includes all labor, supplies, supervision, quality assurance, and materials. The contractor must be a full-service dental laboratory capable of integrating combined treatment needs for patients requiring simultaneous fixed and implant-supported prostheses.
Key requirements include:
- Fabrication of fixed dental prosthetics, with materials meeting Federal Drug Administration (FDA) standards and Buy American Act policies.
- Design, fabrication, and assembly must occur in the United States.
- Provision of same-day repair and reline services for defective prosthetics, at no additional cost.
- Ability to accommodate patient visits to the laboratory for custom shading or prosthetic steps.
- Integration of digital workflow via a secured web portal.
- Turnaround time (TAT) not to exceed fourteen (14) business days, with expedited options available.
- Amendment 0001 clarifications: Restorations require high noble metal. Same-day services are required regardless of contractor location. The contract is exclusively for fixed dental prosthetics, not removable products. Primarily monolithic Zirconia pontics are expected, and E-max crowns should be stained. Custom abutments (UCLA – Gold Engaging, or Straumann implants) must include high noble alloy costs within flat-rated prices. CLIN 25 (Abutment design and manufacture) includes the cost of the crown. Primary implant systems used are Straumann and Nobel.
