Quality Assurance & Packaging

• Quality assurance requirements are detailed in the IRPOD, requiring contractors to maintain an inspection system acceptable to the Government.
• Packaging must comply with MIL-PRF-23199, including specific cleanliness controls (e.g., MIL-STD-767, MIL-STD-2041, Refueling Clean, Reactor Plant Clean) and MIL-DTL-24466 green poly bags where applicable. Fire retardant packaging is no longer required. MIL-STD 2073 packaging also applies.
• A Certificate of Compliance (DI-MISC-81356) is required at the time of material delivery.
