This document provides responses to questions submitted regarding the Pest Control Services Request for Information (RFI).

• Site Visits: Site visits are not permitted for this opportunity.
• Service Location: The full address or GIS map of the service location will be provided after award.
• Acreage Information: Estimated acreage for recurring services is detailed in Attachment 2 Pricing Document.
• Prime Contractor Experience: Prime contractors are responsible for contract fulfillment and must employ licensed/certified personnel or subcontract. They are also responsible for ensuring proper insurance, including specialized pesticide pollution liability, and cannot rely solely on a subcontractor's insurance.
• Emergency Requests: There have been two emergency pest control requests in the past 12 months, both for snakes inside facilities.
• Rodent Bait Stations: The number of bait stations varies monthly. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary supplies, equipment, and materials.
• Wasp/Bee Services: There were four wasp calls last fiscal year. Bee rescues are typically handled by a beekeeper unless there's a safety concern or structural difficulty. No bees were exterminated last fiscal year.
• Height Limitation: The tallest structure to be serviced is approximately four stories.
• Bed Bug Services: In FY23, 8 rooms had bedbugs; in FY24, zero; and in FY25, 1 room had bedbugs.
• Termite Services: There have been zero termite services in the past 12 months.
• Site Access: A visitor request system is in place for site access, and two buildings require escorts at all times.
• Rodent Control Frequency: Pillar Point requires Quarterly rodent control services.
• Technical Proposals: Technical proposals should include information on previous/current contracts, capabilities, and PWS compliance/certifications.
• Non-Standard Pesticides: Approval for non-standard pesticides typically takes 5 business days.
• Vector Surveys: May be required to prevent disease outbreaks and will involve site inspection, identification, population assessment, habitat evaluation, and risk assessment. Laboratory testing is a contract requirement, though it may be available through base Public Health.

Performance Work Statement (PWS)

To provide integrated pest management (IPM) services for long-term prevention and control of pests at Vandenberg Space Force Base (VSFB), California, and associated remote sites. The goal is to eliminate pest issues and recommend procedural changes to prevent future infestations.

• Comprehensive inspection to identify pest problems.

• Implementation of pest control measures upon government approval.

• Includes exterior and interior pest control for a wide range of pests such as rodents, insects, birds, bats, and weeds.

• Specific services include rodent control, general pest control, herbicide application, and dead animal removal.
