• Offer Acceptance Period: Prices must be held firm for 90 calendar days from the offer receipt date.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

The USDA ARS requires comprehensive vegetation management services for the Agricultural Research Service Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center in Florence, SC. The goal is to prepare designated areas for future use and maintain safe, accessible, and operationally ready grounds by clearing unmanaged growth, trimming trees, and cleaning fence lines.

• Vegetation Clearing: Removal of overgrown vegetation, brush, small trees, and invasive plants. Mowing or trimming remaining grass to a uniform height. The riprap underneath brush must remain intact. No damage to nearby structures, utility poles, or protected vegetation. Documentation of existing fence damage caused by vegetation is required.

• Fence Line Cleanup: Removal of vines and vegetation entangled in the perimeter fence, with careful handling to prevent additional damage. Documentation of existing fence damage is required. No trimmed material should lean on or damage the fence.

• Tree Trimming: Trimming of low-hanging branches posing safety hazards, removal of limbs encroaching on buildings/walkways, and cutting dead/damaged limbs. The tree line must be trimmed vertically to full height and horizontally at least two feet beyond the existing fence line, creating a uniform clearance corridor. All debris must be removed from the site.

• Debris Removal: Collection and off-site disposal of all vegetation, tree limbs, and debris in accordance with local environmental regulations.

• Deliverables include a fully cleared site, a fence line cleared with documented condition, a completion report with before/after photos, completed tree trimming, and confirmation of proper debris disposal.

• This is a one-time project located at the Agricultural Research Service Coastal Plains Soil, Water, and Plant Research Center, 2611 West Lucas Street, Florence, SC 29501.

• Contractor must comply with USDA ARS safety protocols and federal environmental regulations.

• All personnel must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Contractor must coordinate with the USDA ARS site contact prior to mobilization.

• Work must be performed using standard safety and industry practices.
