Scope of Work

The objective is to perform cleaning of the CATM ventilation system in Building 950 at JBSA-Lackland, adhering to National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) standards. The scope includes:

  • Cleaning mold, mildew, and removing bacteria odors from ventilation systems.
  • Cleaning 100% of odor and disease-causing organisms on non-porous and hard surfaces.
  • Cleaning vents and returns in 21 offices, 4 restrooms, 1 breakroom, 1 great hall, and common hallways within Building 950.
  • Specific areas involve 119 register/vent openings, 87 small air returns, and 280 linear feet of 1st-floor trunk lines.
  • Work requires detaching, cleaning, accessing ductwork, and re-attaching registers.

Performance Standards

Contractors must utilize HEPA filtration (99.97% efficiency), maintain continuous negative pressure, prevent cross-contamination, and employ HEPA-filtered air scrubbers. All work must adhere to manufacturer's instructions for cleaning agents.

Place and Period of Performance

  • Location: Building 950, JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX 78236.
  • Work Hours: 3:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. Work may be permitted on holidays/weekends or earlier hours at government option.
