Scope of Work
This requirement is for a three-day, in-person training course for up to eight (8) Japan Maritime Self Defense Force (JMSDF) personnel. The training focuses on the operation and maintenance of the RT-1829 UHF SATCOM Terminal, enabling personnel to operate the system with limited supervision and perform selected preventive and documented corrective maintenance. Key training areas include:
- UHF DAMA Overview: Satellite, Dedicated SATCOM, IW/DAMA 25 KHz.
- RT-1829/VNTC Training: Hardware overview, dedicated mode software, DAMA mode software, IW mode software, software maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Firsthand Training: Student setup of RT-1829, hands-on hardware troubleshooting with instructor-inserted faults, and review of software troubleshooting procedures. The training must be delivered by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with intimate knowledge of the RT-1829 system.

Submission & Evaluation
This is a SOLE SOURCE solicitation to ViaSat Inc. Quotes will only be accepted from ViaSat Inc. Evaluation will be based on price and other factors, with the government intending to award to the responsible quoter whose quote is most advantageous. The initial quote should contain the vendor's best terms from a price standpoint. Quotes must be submitted to Kaye-Shana Paja (kaye-shana.paja.civ@us.navy.mil) and Justin Hall (justin.d.hall12.civ@us.navy.mil).
Special Requirements
- CMMC: Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 1 (Self) or higher is required prior to award.
