This contract will provide equipment and support personnel, potentially including optional contracted instructors, to deliver standard course simulations developed jointly by the government and the contractor. The focus is on creating entry-level, moderate, and advanced wildfire-based simulations for roles such as Aerial Supervisors (Air Tactical Group Supervisors, Helicopter Coordinators, Air Tactical Supervisors), Aerial Firefighters (pilots), Helicopter Crews (Helitack, Shorthaul, Rappel), and Smokejumpers. The scope may expand to include non-fire all-risk simulations and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
Specific courses include Regional Aerial Supervisor Refresher Course (RT-378), Regional Helicopter Manager Refresher Course (RT-372), National Aerial Supervision Academy, Smokejumper Spotter Training, MAFFS Training Support, and VR Demo Days. The contractor must provide mixed reality flight controls, VR equipment, associated hardware, role players with expert understanding of policies and scripts, IT support, shipment, setup, teardown, and cover travel costs.
