Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI)

This notice is for market research purposes only and is NOT a solicitation for proposals or quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 7, is seeking information on qualified contractors capable of supplying Blood and Blood-Related Products to facilities in Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. The goal is to identify potential sources and their size classifications relative to NAICS code 325414 (Biological Products Manufacturing).

While this is not a solicitation, the VA is seeking contractors capable of providing:

• Blood and blood-related supplies and services.

• Products meeting American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) requirements.

• Testing for transfusion-transmitted disease markers.

• Reference transfusion services, Immunohematology Reference Laboratories (IRL), histocompatibility testing (HLA), and Molecular testing.

• Delivery services on a 24/7 basis with specific response times for Routine (24 hours), ASAP (4 hours), and STAT (90 minutes) orders.

• Physician consultative services and educational programs (value-added services).

• Contract Type: Five-year, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Firm-Fixed Price.

• Period of Performance: Anticipated June 1, 2026, through May 31, 2031.
