Quick Summary

The Military Sealift Command (MSC), under the Department of the Navy, is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify U.S. Flag vessels capable of performing Voyage Charters for the transport of granite aggregate. This initiative aims to gather information on vessel availability and pricing for two separate shipments. Responses are due by June 10, 2026, at 1100 Eastern Time.

Scope of Work

The government is seeking information for two distinct shipments, each requiring a vessel capable of carrying 23,000 MT of granite aggregate:

  • Shipment A (#57 Granite): Loading at Jamaica Gypsum Pier, Jamaica, between June 18-30, 2026, for discharge at Port of Palm Beach, Florida (USA).
  • Shipment B (#89 Granite): Loading at Jamaica Gypsum Pier, Jamaica, between July 13-24, 2026, for discharge at Port of Palm Beach, Florida (USA).

Both shipments require vessels with a maximum draft of 9.45M (31'), maximum LOA of 190M (623'), and maximum beam of 30.4M (98'). Vessels must be geared for discharge with ship cranes capable of 8,500 MT/day, 10.8M reach, and using grabs for loads exceeding 30 metric tons. The anticipated charter style is Voyage Charter.
