This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposal, quotation, or bid. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 08, intends to issue a solicitation for the procurement of 6-Month Diesel-Powered Mobile Pump Rental.

REQUIREMENT:

The C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center requires a 6-month rental of a diesel-powered mobile pump, located at Building 103. The temporary diesel-powered mobile fire pump is necessary to ensure adequate fire protection and water supply until permanent solutions are implemented.

Technical Specifications:

Flow Rate: The fire pump must provide a flow rate of 2000 GPM.

Remote Monitoring: The fire pump must have remote monitoring capabilities, monitored by the rental company.

Diesel Supply: The trailer must have its own diesel supply. The rental contract includes diesel for normal testing during the rental period and one tank of fuel for emergency use. Additional fuel needs will be covered under separate purchase requests.

Enclosed Trailer: The pump shall be housed in an enclosed trailer for protection and mobility.

ANTICIPATED SOLICITATION RELEASE DATE:

The solicitation is anticipated to be issued on or about 10/27/2025 with responses due approximately 14 days thereafter. The solicitation will be available for download through the SAM website (https://www.sam.gov).

Responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This is an announcement of an upcoming solicitation as required by FAR 5.2 "Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions".
