Statement of Work (SOW)

The Iowa City VA Health Care System Imaging Department requires a temporary lease of a mobile CT scanner unit for approximately four (4) months to maintain uninterrupted patient care during the replacement of an existing CT scanner. This is crucial for supporting the transplant program, stroke program, and providing 24-hour coverage for the ER, OR, and inpatients.

• Furnish one (1) fully operational mobile CT scanner unit and all associated services.

• Provide site planning, delivery, setup, testing, and operational readiness.

• Offer three (3) days of onsite applications training for Government CT technologists and clinical staff.

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair services, and OEM-supported maintenance.

• Provide technical support and hard drive replacement/removal.

• The contractor will be responsible for site planning requirements, delivery, setup, and removal of the unit.

• The Iowa City VA will provide CT technologists to scan patients.

• Minimum system uptime of ninety-five percent (95%).

• All patient information must be removed from the system prior to unit removal.

• Data Security: Contractor must remove and replace the hard drive, or allow VA BioMed to remove and destroy it. No patient data shall leave Government control.

• Contract Type: Firm-Fixed-Priced with FAR Part 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services.

• Training: Three (3) days of onsite applications training.

• Maintenance: Performed by Siemens Medical Solutions or an OEM-authorized provider.

• Quality Control: Contractor to inspect and certify unit prior to delivery; Government will inspect upon delivery.

Sources Sought Notice

This notice is a Sources Sought to conduct market research for the lease of a 128 IVR Slices per rotation with UFC Detector System for the VA Iowa Health Care System. The government is seeking to identify potential sources capable of providing this service and to ascertain their business size classifications relative to NAICS code 532490 (Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing).
