• The Statement of Work (SOW) is included and referenced for detailed requirements, inspection/acceptance, and delivery information.

• The solicitation incorporates FAR clauses by reference, including those related to System for Award Management, Combating Trafficking in Persons, and payment procedures. DFARS clauses related to contractor requirements and payment are also included.

Statement of Work (SOW) / Performance Work Statement (PWS)

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines the requirements for the construction of a one-hour fire-rated internal drywall partition with an integrated one-hour fire-rated double door assembly and associated electrical infrastructure at the San Jose Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).

• Design, construct, and install one (1) internal, non-load-bearing, fire-rated drywall partition.

• Install one (1) fire-rated double door assembly.

• Install associated electrical systems, including quadplex outlets and infrastructure for future access control and security.

• The installation must be a complete, turnkey solution in accordance with specifications and applicable codes.

• The drywall partition must achieve a minimum one-hour fire rating.

• Gypsum board finishing must meet a Level 4 standard.

• Doors and frames must be UL-listed, 1-hour fire-rated assemblies.

• Doors must be properly aligned, self-closing, and self-latching per NFPA 80.

• Electrical work must comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local codes.

• Period of Performance: 90 calendar days from the date of contract award.

• Place of Performance: San Jose MEPS, 546 Vernon Ave, Mountain View, CA 94043.

• Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday, 0730 to 1630 PST, excluding Federal holidays. After-hours work requires prior approval.

• Security and Access Procedures: Compliance with installation access and security requirements, including background checks (Army Directive 2014-05, AR 190-13, local policies).

• Submittals: A submittal package including product data sheets, specifications, UL fire-rating documentation, installation schedule, and paint specifications is required prior to installation.

• Warranty: A minimum one-year warranty on workmanship and materials is required.

• Safety and Site Maintenance: Contractor is responsible for safety, site cleanliness, and security.

• Deliverables: As-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, and all associated keys.

• Applicable Codes and Standards: Compliance with International Building Code (IBC), NFPA 101, NFPA 80, NEC, ASTM C754 & C840, UL Fire-Resistance Directory, UFC 1-200-01, and 2022 California Fire Code & San Jose Municipal Code.
