Quick Summary
The Department of the Army (DEVCOM C5ISR Center RTI Directorate) is conducting a Sources Sought / Request for Information (RFI) for Warden Dismounted Soldier Counter - Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) capabilities. This RFI seeks Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 5+ solutions for dismounted mobile infantry squads to counter Group 1 and 2 sUAS threats. The goal is to support research and development planning and foster Government-industry collaboration for the first Warden C-sUAS event in Q3FY26. Responses are due by February 9, 2026.
Scope of Interest
The Army is interested in C-sUAS capabilities designed to counter Group 1 sUAS, including First Person View (FPV) drones. Solutions must have Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) compatible with a mobile dismounted squad (personnel carried, held, borne, or rifle mounted), with a clear path to a squad dismounted robotic asset SWaP. Capabilities should also be integrable with existing Soldier equipment.
Key Technology Focus Areas
- Rifle-mounted kinetic/non-kinetic defeat (emphasis on detection & tracking)
- Passive and active detection/location (acoustic, electro-optical/infrared, radiofrequency, laser jamming, dazzling & defeat)
- Enhancement of existing Soldier equipment
- sUAS detection, tracking & interoperability
- Novel solutions and sensor fusion
Submission Requirements
Interested parties must submit capability white papers and a single quad chart using the provided templates. Submissions should include company information (Name, Address, POCs, CAGE Code, Facility Clearance Level, JCP DD Form 2345) and detailed technical information (Capability Name, Description, Concept of Use, Operational Requirements, Technology Maturity, Equipment Needs, Risk Assessment/Range Access, Quantity, Objectives, Proprietary Information). All documents must be portion marked IAW DoDM 5200.01-V2. Unclassified responses should be emailed to usarmy.apg.devcom-c5isr.mbx.rti-industry-engagement@army.mil. CUI responses require encryption via DoD SAFE, and SECRET or higher classifications require contacting the specified email for instructions. Only U.S. citizens are authorized to respond.
