This document is a justification for a sole-source procurement of "Warrior Pak Rec²i Deck (Brand Name Only)" units. The 48th Rescue Squadron requires these units to power advanced, life-saving medical equipment for Pararescue (PJ) personnel during missions in austere environments. The equipment is critical for sustaining life and enhancing mission effectiveness during personnel recovery operations.

• Procurement of "Warrior Pak Rec²i Deck (Brand Name Only)" units.

• The unit must be a ruggedized and reliable man-portable power source.

• It must ensure continuous operation of advanced life-saving medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, fluid warmers) for prolonged field care.

• The specific item is identified as CLIN: 0001 - (WP REC2ISOL-02) Warrior Pak Rec²i Deck (6 EA).

• Contracting Activity: 355th Contracting Squadron.

• Project/Program Name: RQS Warrior Pak.

• Estimated Contract Cost is redacted.

• This document indicates a Brand Name Only solicitation will be posted to the GPE.

• Efforts to obtain competition included reviewing mandatory and preferred sources, GSA/AF Advantage, and researching EDWOSB and WOSB vendors. No vendors were found capable of fulfilling the requirement under schedule pricing or as a set-aside for EDWOSB.

• The NAICS Code utilized should be set-aside for EDWOSB, however, no vendors were found that can fulfill the requirement.

• No capable Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) vendors were identified.

• Two authorized small businesses (LAT Enterprises and W.S. Darley & Co.) were found to be available in the marketplace.

• The justification cites FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) for deeming only a single source reasonably available.

• Future requirements will seek manufacturers/distributors offering equivalent technology.
