Scope of Work

The contractor will be responsible for restoring operational functionality to two altitude valves (10-inch and 12-inch) located in Building 8216's underground maintenance pit. Key tasks include:

  • Removing and replacing components such as ball valves, tubing & fittings, pilot valves, pressure gauges, internal rubber, gaskets, and strainers.
  • Applying specific "Electric Blue" paint (RGB 125, 249, 255 or #7DF9FF) to the repaired altitude valves, ensuring it meets NSF/ANSI 61 requirements.
  • Disposing of all construction debris off the installation in accordance with applicable regulations.

Performance Standards & Special Requirements

  • Work must be completed within a maximum of two (2) calendar days.
  • Minimal interruptions to daily schedules; coordination of shutdowns with 7 CES Customer Service Desk at least two (2) days in advance.
  • All work is warranted for one (1) year from the date of acceptance.
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including SDWA, EPA, Texas Administrative Code, DoD, and UFC.
  • Submission of material submittals for government approval.
  • A pre-proposal site visit is highly encouraged.
  • Adherence to all safety requirements, including OSHA and confined space entry procedures.
  • Obtaining necessary work clearances (AF Form 103) and permits.
  • Specific security requirements for access to Dyess AFB, including identification badges (Dyess Form 173).
  • Contractor employees must possess valid driver's licenses, and vehicles must be registered and insured.
