Opportunity Details
The BEP requires a single contract for Stack and Rack Carts to hold sheets for at least seventy-two (72) hours of drying time after the Offset and Intaglio print phases. Carts will be offloaded and reused, and during drying, they will be secured with a security hood and locking mechanism (provided by BEP, not part of this solicitation). The place of performance is Fort Worth, TX.
Scope of Work
The contractor shall manufacture and deliver Stack and Rack Carts compliant with detailed engineering drawings and specifications provided in the updated Attachment B, Drawing 55222AD REV E. Key components include base plates, side plates, caster blocks, upright assemblies, and various rod holders. Material specifications include AISI 1018-1028 Cold Rolled Steel and powder coating. Bidders must work solely from the provided 2D PDF drawings; 3D CAD models will not be supplied. Initial delivery of two (2) carts is required within sixty (60) days after contract award for testing, followed by a staggered delivery schedule for the remaining 248 units.
Key Requirements & Performance Standards
Performance standards include 100% correct welding of columns, 100% paint adhesion, and maintaining a 36-inch column width. Carts must be utilized for a minimum of ninety (90) days without issues before final acceptance. The BEP reserves the right to inspect, and non-compliant carts will be returned at the contractor's expense. A warranty and immediate notification of delays or deviations are required.
