Quick Summary

The Department of the Air Force, specifically the 96th Test Systems Squadron (TSSQ), is conducting market research via a Request for Information (RFI) for Weather and Sea State Systems. This RFI seeks capabilities from both small and large businesses to provide procurement and sustainment support for systems capable of measuring atmospheric and sea state data at the Eglin Gulf Test and Training Range (EGTTR) and surrounding Gulf water test areas. Responses are due May 22, 2026.

Scope of Work

The Government requires systems to reliably measure sea state data across the entire Gulf Water Test Range and weather data up to 100,000 feet. These systems will provide accurate data for airborne test platforms, test items, and targets within the Eglin Test and Training Complex (ETTC). Key capabilities sought include:

  • Procurement, provision, and installation of materials, spares, and consumables.
  • Design, testing, modification, and installation of system components and improvements.
  • Repair, refurbishment, and maintenance to manufacturer specifications.
  • Operation, calibration, alignment, tuning, and performance verification.
  • Compliance with DoD network rules, Information Systems (IS) requirements, and DISA STIGs.
