Quality Assurance & Certifications

Offerors must provide and maintain a quality system in accordance with ISO-9001 (amplified/modified), ISO-10012 or ANSI-Z540.3 with ISO-17025, or MIL-I-45208 with MIL-STD-45662. Critical requirements include:

  • Traceability: Maintained from material to certification test reports (Objective Quality Evidence - OQE) through unique traceability numbers.
  • Certifications: Required for all quality conformance tests, with specific modifications to DI-MISC-81020 and DI-MISC-80678.
  • Submission: Certification data must be submitted to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard via Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) for review and acceptance prior to each shipment. No material is to be shipped without acceptance.
  • Inspection: 100% inspection of unit containers for traceability marking and legibility, and 100% inspection of chemical/mechanical properties, traceability, and NDT certifications.
